Rainbows learn by doing – they get their hands dirty, do sports, arts and crafts and play games. Being a Rainbow is all about having the space to try new things. Through taking part in a range of different activities with girls their own age, Rainbows develop self-confidence and make lots of new friends.

Rainbows learn and grow through a programme of age-appropriate activities, trips and adventures – both in their weekly meetings and at special events. They are supported by a group of highly-trained, inspirational Leaders to try new things, challenge themselves and have fun.

To join Rainbows, the parent or carer needs to register their daughter’s details on: https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-for-parents/register-your-daughter/

Girls in Brownies have incredible experiences together, make brilliant friends and discover the world around them. Every time they meet up, groups of Brownies learn new skills and take on challenges as they work out what they want to be and do in the future.

Brownies is about getting together regularly – often each week – to work on badges, play games and see friends. It’s about trying adventurous activities and going along to special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays.

Girls in Brownies are part of a small group called a Six, lead by a girl called a Sixer. They make their own decisions about what badges and activities to do next. They work together to explore their place within their local community and the world around them.

To join Brownies, the parent or carer needs to register their daughter’s details here.
